The tranquility of old monasteries & warm hospitality of Latin estancias inspired the design of the Posada San Rafael. Live amongst our curated collection of antiquities while we pamper you with our version of refined romance in our oceanfront villa.

We have gracious accommodations for up to 14 guests in 6 suites. However, if fewer bedrooms are needed, the villa can be locked off into 4 different configurations to accommodate 2-14 guests.

Villa Option One: Sleeping 2-4 guests, this configuration includes Suite San Rafael and the Library Suite, along with the exclusive use of the kitchen, alfresco dining/living areas, courtyard, pool, and rooftop terrace. (View suites from menu)

Villa Option Two: Sleeping 4-6 guests, this configuration includes Suite San Rafael, Suite San Francisco and the Library Suite, along with the exclusive use of the kitchen, alfresco dining/living areas, courtyard, pool, and rooftop terrace. (View suites from menu)

Villa Option Three: Sleeping 6-8 guests, this configuration includes Suite San Rafael, Suite San Francisco, Suite San Miguel and the Library Suite, along with the exclusive use of the kitchen, alfresco dining/living areas, courtyard, pool, and rooftop terrace. (View suites from menu)

  • Beach chairs, towels,  coolers, snorkels

  • Toiletries, hairdryers, iron

  • Laundry service 

  • Provisioning of groceries (additional fee) 

  • Costa Rican breakfast included; served from 8 'til 9:30 am, smoothies after hours upon request

  • Lunch & snack preparation... menus provided from which to choose typical homestyle lunches; served from 1 pm- 2:30 pm. (Groceries additional fee)

  • Daily housekeeping & laundry (upon request)

  • Las Catalinas Beach Club private membership included; located 4 doors down access includes 4 pools, sauna, fitness, restaurant, bar, lounges & umbrellas

Get Lost in Las Catalinas

In Las Catalinas kids can run free on cobblestoned pedestrian streets while neighbors chat to passersby from their balconies. Charming and quaint, you will feel very quickly a part of our town as you walk to everything we have to offer. Whether beaching or biking or hiking or sampling our varied eateries, there's so much to enjoy that you won't ever need to leave town.
